My Dad makes great sausage rolls…well as far as I can remember they were great! That was back in my ‘non vegan’ days. I remember when I’d come home from university or when I was coming back for a visit from overseas, and the first thing I’d do was put in an order for his sausage rolls. No shop bought sausage roll could ever compare to my ‘Old Man’s’ recipe -with a side of his home made relish.
A friend posted this recipe she created on facebook recently. A bread recipe requiring ONLY 4 ingredients. Yes only 4. No yeast, no bread flour. I was amazed! I saw the photo of the end result and I thought ‘I have to try this!’. My brain went into overdrive thinking of all the possibilities for this recipe-savoury and sweet. A comforting accompaniment to a hearty soup or with berries and jam as a sweet breakfast toast.
